Castle Build Deck & Wood Stairs project: finished cedar-toned deck and stairs at the rear of a Toronto home

Project

Deck & Wood Stairs

A rotted, moss-covered rear deck and stair run replaced with a new pressure-treated deck, stringers and handrail — from demolition and new concrete footings through to the finished stairs.

Custom Decks
  • The original rear deck and stairs before the rebuild, with weathered, moss-covered boards and missing treads

  • New concrete footings with post brackets set into fresh gravel after the old structure was removed

Castle Build Interlock Relay project: freshly relaid paver patio beside a deck and stairs at a Toronto home

Project

Interlock Relay

A settled, moss-filled paver patio lifted and relaid — joints cleaned out, base re-levelled and the existing stones reset in a tight, even pattern from the walkway through to the back patio.

Landscaping & Outdoor Improvements
  • The patio before the relay, with wide, moss-filled joints and uneven paving slabs beside the window well
  • Close-up before the relay showing weeds and moss growing between settled slabs along the wall edge
  • Wider view of the original patio before work, with shifted slabs and gaps across the whole surface
  • The finished patio after the relay, with the pavers reset level and joints re-sanded
  • The relaid side walkway after completion, with clean joints and an even, tight paver pattern
